Terms of Use

1. The agreement

Caloza (the “app”) is provided by JTC Interactive - FZCO (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using Caloza you agree to these Terms of Use.

Your licence to use the app itself is granted under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (the “Apple EULA”). These terms add the rules that are specific to Caloza. If anything here conflicts with the Apple EULA about the licence, the Apple EULA wins.

You need to be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age where you live) to use Caloza. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should agree to these terms with you.

2. Estimates, not medical advice

Caloza uses artificial intelligence to estimate the foods, portions, calories and nutrients in a meal photo. It cannot weigh your food or see hidden ingredients, so every result is an estimate that may be wrong. Review it and correct it when needed.

Meal scores, budgets, targets and trends are general wellness information. Caloza is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before making medical decisions or big changes to your diet, especially if you are pregnant, have diabetes, an eating disorder or another health condition.

3. Subscriptions and free trial

Photo estimates, estimate updates, finished-meal checks and other AI features need an active Caloza subscription. You can browse the app and your saved meals without one.

• Plans: weekly, monthly or annual. Prices for your country are shown in the app before you buy.
• Free trial: the annual plan includes a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. The weekly and monthly plans have no trial and are charged when you subscribe.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and length unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period (or the trial). Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• Manage or cancel any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
• If you buy a subscription during a free trial, the rest of the trial ends.
• Payments and refunds are handled by Apple under its terms. To ask for a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com.
• If we change a price, Apple notifies you in advance as its rules require, and you can cancel before the new price applies.

4. Your photos and data

Your meal photos, notes and history are yours. You give us permission to process them only to run the features you use, for example sending a photo to our AI providers when you ask for an estimate. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what is shared and when.

Only submit photos you have the right to use, and don’t include other people’s personal information in photos or notes.

5. Fair use

Please use Caloza for its purpose: estimating and tracking your own meals. Don’t misuse it — for example by trying to extract or overload the AI service, reverse-engineer the app beyond what the law allows, resell access, or use it for anything unlawful. We may limit or suspend AI features for an account that does this.

6. Changes and availability

We keep improving Caloza, so features may change. AI features depend on third-party providers and an internet connection and may occasionally be unavailable.

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app or on this page before it takes effect. Continuing to use Caloza after that means you accept the updated terms.

7. Warranty and liability

Caloza is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we don’t promise that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or that estimates will be accurate, and we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on estimates.

Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Caloza in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded, or liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Caloza or its content, maintenance, support, warranty or any claims about it — we are. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

If Caloza fails to meet an applicable warranty, you can notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. You confirm you are not in a country under a US government embargo and are not on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction — unless the consumer law of the country where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts or under your local law.
