Effective: August 2, 2026
Caloza estimates nutrition from photos; it does not measure food and is not medical advice. Caloza Pro renews through Apple unless canceled. AI analysis has a disclosed monthly allowance and may be unavailable when safety, rate, cost, or service controls are reached.
1. Agreement and operator
Caloza: AI Calories Nutrition Tracker (“Caloza”) is operated by JTC INTERACTIVE - FZCO (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, purchasing, accessing, or using Caloza, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (“Apple Standard EULA”), which is incorporated by reference.
These Terms govern the Caloza service and supplement the Apple Standard EULA. They do not replace it. If these Terms conflict with the Apple Standard EULA about the license to the iOS app, the Apple Standard EULA controls.
You must be at least 13 and old enough to agree under the law where you live. If you are not legally able to agree, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms for you. Caloza is not designed for child nutrition management.
2. What Caloza provides
Caloza is a general-wellness nutrition estimation tool for iPhone. When you submit a meal for analysis, it sends the selected photo and optional notes to third-party AI services to estimate likely foods, portions, calories, nutrients, and food-quality context. It also stores meal history and provides daily and longer-term views.
AI outputs can be incomplete, delayed, inconsistent, or wrong. You are responsible for reviewing estimates and deciding whether and how to use them. Features, supported devices, and presentation may change as the service is improved, provided changes do not remove paid access already required by applicable law or Apple’s rules without an appropriate remedy.
3. Caloza Pro subscriptions
- Plans: Caloza Pro Monthly renews each month, and Caloza Pro Annual renews each year. Both plans currently provide the same core feature access.
- Price: Apple shows the full localized renewal price, currency, duration, and any introductory offer before you confirm a purchase. The price displayed by Apple controls.
- Payment and renewal: Apple charges your Apple Account when you confirm. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple may charge for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- Trials and offers: If Apple displays a free trial or introductory offer, the displayed eligibility, duration, and post-offer price apply. Unless canceled before the trial ends, it converts to the paid plan shown by Apple.
- Manage or cancel: Use Apple Subscriptions. Removing the app or deleting a Caloza service account does not cancel Apple billing.
- Restore: Restore Purchases is available on Caloza’s subscription screen. Restoration requires Apple and Caloza server verification and may require a network connection.
- Refunds: Apple determines refund eligibility. You can submit an eligible request through Report a Problem.
4. AI analysis allowance and service controls
AI meal analysis is not unlimited. The current service allowance is the lower of:
- 300 provider requests per service account per calendar month, resetting at 00:00 UTC on the first day of each month; a standard full meal analysis uses three provider requests, so this ordinarily permits up to 100 standard full analyses; and
- the per-account monthly AI provider-cost ceiling configured by Caloza, currently USD 4.00.
Re-analysis and other AI work count toward the allowance. Rate limits, abuse prevention, provider availability, global service budgets, and an emergency safety or cost kill switch may temporarily reduce or pause access. A paid subscription does not guarantee that every submitted request will complete or that the numerical maximum will always be reached.
We will not market AI analysis as unlimited. If the recurring allowance changes materially, we will update these Terms and the user-facing purchase information before the change applies to a new purchase or renewal, as required by law and Apple’s rules.
5. Nutrition and health disclaimer
Caloza uses AI to estimate—not measure foods, portions, calories, nutrients, and scores. A photo cannot reliably reveal hidden ingredients, exact weights, recipes, preparation methods, allergens, contamination, or medication interactions.
Caloza provides general educational and wellness information. It is not medical advice, a diagnosis, treatment, emergency service, or medical device. Do not rely on Caloza for:
- allergy or food-safety decisions;
- medication or insulin dosing;
- eating-disorder treatment;
- pregnancy, infant, or child nutrition;
- a prescribed clinical diet; or
- urgent or life-critical decisions.
Consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant medical, dietary, or weight-loss decisions. If you believe you have a medical emergency, contact local emergency services.
6. Your content and privacy
You keep ownership of photos, notes, and other content you submit. You give us a limited, nonexclusive authorization to transmit, process, and temporarily store that content only as needed to provide the feature you requested, secure the service, handle safe retries, and meet legal obligations. This authorization ends when processing and applicable retention periods end.
Do not submit content you do not have the right to use, content that unlawfully identifies another person, or content unrelated to the app’s meal-analysis purpose. Our processing practices are described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Acceptable use
You may not:
- circumvent subscriptions, quotas, rate limits, usage controls, access controls, or security measures;
- probe, disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or misuse the service except where applicable law expressly permits;
- use Caloza to violate law, infringe rights, distribute malware, or submit abusive or deceptive requests;
- resell, sublicense, or provide automated third-party access to the consumer service; or
- misrepresent an AI estimate as a clinical measurement or professional diagnosis.
We may restrict or suspend access that threatens security, service availability, users, providers, or legal compliance. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and a way to contact support.
8. Caloza ownership
Caloza, its software, design, text, trademarks, and service technology are owned by or licensed to JTC INTERACTIVE - FZCO and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited app license in the Apple Standard EULA, these Terms do not transfer ownership or grant rights to use our branding.
9. Third-party services
Caloza relies on Apple for distribution, purchases, StoreKit, Apple Health, and optional iCloud features; on OpenRouter to route meal-analysis requests; and on Google Gemini to generate current AI estimates. Those services may have separate terms and availability. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using them.
10. Apple-required app terms
- Acknowledgement: These Terms are between you and JTC INTERACTIVE - FZCO, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for Caloza and its content.
- License scope: Your license is limited to a non-transferable right to use Caloza on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and Family Sharing where applicable.
- Maintenance and support: We are responsible for maintenance and support as required by law or these Terms. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support.
- Warranty: If Caloza fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price paid for the app, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Caloza.
- Product claims: We, not Apple, are responsible for claims relating to Caloza, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, and consumer-protection claims.
- Intellectual property claims: We, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling, and discharging claims that Caloza infringes a third party’s intellectual-property rights.
- Legal compliance: You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a United States government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and you are not listed on a United States government prohibited or restricted-party list.
- Developer contact: Contact JTC INTERACTIVE - FZCO at admin@jtcapps.com.
- Third-party terms: You must comply with applicable third-party agreements while using Caloza, including your wireless-data agreement.
- Third-party beneficiary: Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the Apple-specific provisions against you after your acceptance.
11. Availability, warranties, and liability
We work to keep Caloza secure and available, but network, Apple, AI-provider, maintenance, budget, and safety conditions can interrupt it. The service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free estimates, or a particular health outcome.
To the extent permitted by law, JTC INTERACTIVE - FZCO is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or harm caused by relying on an estimate. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
12. Ending use and account deletion
You may stop using Caloza at any time. You may request export or deletion of the pseudonymous service account as described on the Data Requests page. Deletion does not cancel an Apple subscription or automatically remove local or private iCloud meal history.
We may end or suspend access for material breach, fraud, security risk, unlawful use, or when required by Apple, a provider, or law. Subscription rights remain subject to Apple’s billing and refund rules.
13. Changes and disputes
We may update these Terms to reflect service, legal, or safety changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice where required before a materially new AI recipient or purpose applies.
The Apple Standard EULA and any mandatory consumer law that applies where you live govern app-license and non-waivable consumer rights. Before starting a formal dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue. This paragraph does not restrict rights or remedies that cannot legally be restricted.
