App Store availability
Caloza is preparing its first public App Store release. Its reserved App Store record is not publicly available yet, so the direct listing currently returns an unavailable page. This site will link to Apple’s public product page as soon as the release is live.
Device requirements
Caloza is built for iPhone and currently requires iOS 26 or later. Camera, photo-library, Apple Health, and iCloud features require a compatible device, permission, and the corresponding Apple service. Meal analysis and subscription verification require an internet connection.
Subscriptions and Restore Purchases
Caloza Pro is required to use the app. On the subscription screen, Apple shows the monthly and annual plans, localized renewal prices, duration, and any eligible introductory offer.
- Restore: On the subscription screen, tap Restore Purchases while signed in to the Apple Account used for the purchase. Keep the device online while Apple and Caloza’s server verify access.
- Manage or cancel: Open Apple Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to prevent the next renewal.
- Refund: Submit an eligible request through Report a Problem. Apple handles payment and determines refund eligibility.
- Pending purchase: If Apple shows a purchase as pending, Caloza unlocks only after Apple approves it and the server verifies the entitlement.
- Expired, refunded, revoked, or billing retry: Follow the message shown by Caloza, confirm the device is online, and retry verification or restore when appropriate.
AI analysis is not unlimited. The current allowance and service controls are explained in the Terms of Use.
Meal analysis
Caloza estimates nutrition from a meal photo and optional notes. Estimates can be incomplete or wrong and are not measurements or medical advice.
- Confirm the device has a working internet connection.
- Select a meal photo and add optional notes only when you want an AI estimate.
- Review the detected foods and assumed portions.
- Scale the meal portion, exclude an incorrect detected item, add notes, or run the estimate again if needed.
Rate, monthly allowance, provider-cost, safety, or global service controls may temporarily pause requests. If a retry continues to fail, include the app version, iOS version, approximate time, and the exact non-sensitive error message in your support email.
Safety: Do not rely on Caloza for allergen safety, medication or insulin dosing, eating-disorder treatment, pregnancy or child nutrition, a prescribed clinical diet, or an urgent medical decision.
Privacy, Apple Health, and AI
When you submit a meal for AI analysis, Caloza sends the selected photo and optional General Notes and Meal Notes through Caloza’s server to OpenRouter and Google Gemini. Caloza does not continuously upload your meal library.
If you do not want a photo or notes sent for AI analysis, do not submit that meal for an estimate. Existing local meals remain available independently of a new analysis request.
If you grant Apple Health access, Caloza reads only Active Energy Burned for on-device energy context. Apple Health data is not sent to Caloza’s server or the AI services. Compact Privacy Policy and Terms of Use links are available at the bottom of Caloza Settings.
Meal history and data choices
Meal history is stored locally and, when available, in your private Caloza iCloud container. The Caloza server separately holds a pseudonymous subscription and service account. Visit Data Requests to request access, export, correction, or server-account deletion.
Deleting the server account does not cancel Apple billing and does not remove local or private iCloud meals. Manage those separately.
